Overview
NCGCL is seeking an ambitious, high-conviction Asset Liability Manager to drive the institution’s fixed income strategy, optimize the debt portfolio, and extract alpha through superior investment allocation and liability structuring. This is a critical leadership role for an individual who combines quantitative sharpness with strategic foresight, and who thrives in navigating financial markets, risk asymmetries, and tax arbitrage.
The ALM will be the principal architect of the company’s balance sheet strategy—aligning assets and liabilities to maximize net interest margin, optimize tax posture, and ensure liquidity across cycles.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead strategy, execution, and monitoring of the fixed income investment portfolio (T-bills, PIBs, corporate bonds, sukuk, etc.) as per appetite and limits established by the Board
-
Continuously assess risk-adjusted returns and dynamically reallocate capital to capture alpha
-
Build macro-informed duration, yield curve, and credit exposure strategies aligned with institutional objectives
-
Monitor and report interest rate, liquidity, and credit risk exposures.
-
Actively track macroeconomic indicators, monetary policy, yield curves, and market trends.
Eligibility Criteria
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline. CFA or FRM preferred.
-
6+ years of experience in treasury, investment management, or ALM at a financial institution.
-
Familiarity with tax-optimized structuring and local debt market instruments.
